The Italian Chamber of Commerce based in London was founded on the 26th October 1886. At that time, the Italian Government started to promote the business intermediationen forcing specific laws. The Chamber of Commerce was, actually, the ideal instrument for apolicy of real “approaching” among the economies from different countries. The Italian government, which far from the principles of a free trade, started, for the first time, to create and coordinate a specific structure for the international business relations. Even after a change in its political attitude, clearly oriented towards protectionism and more rules(to the detriment of the principles of coordination), the Italian government kept this role at the international level.
